Product Description
Ship Building Steel Plate refers to the thin Steel Plate and thick steel plate produced from the structural steel specially used in shipbuilding and used in the manufacture of the hull structure of ocean-going, coastal and inland navigation ships. Structural steels for shipbuilding include carbon steel and low alloy steel, marked with a C (ship) at the end of the steel number. Carbon steels include 2C, 3C, 4C and 5C, while low alloy steels include 12MnC, 16MnC, 15MnTiC and 14MnVTiReC. The thickness is 2.5~50 mm.
Due to the harsh working environment of the ship, the hull hull will be subjected to chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion and corrosion of Marine organisms and microorganisms. The hull bears large wind and wave impact and alternating load; The shape of the ship makes its processing method complicated and other factors, so the steel requirements for the hull structure are strict. First of all, good toughness is the most critical requirement. In addition, high strength, good corrosion resistance, welding performance, machining performance and surface quality are required. In order to ensure quality and sufficient toughness, Mn/C of chemical composition is required to be above 2.5, and there are strict requirements on carbon equivalent, and it is produced by steel mills approved by shipping inspection department.
According to the minimum yield point, the structural steels for ship hulls are classified into normal strength structural steels and high strength structural steels. Structural steel for ship hull is divided into two kinds: general strength steel and high strength steel. General strength steel is divided into four grades according to its mass: A, B, D and E. High strength steel is divided into two strength levels and three quality levels; AH32, DH32, EH32, AH36, DH36, EH36.
