What kind of steel is SPCC

SPCC is a kind of universal low carbon Steel, its full name is "Steel Plate Cold Rolled Commercial", Chinese translation is "commercial cold rolled plate". This steel is generally used to make some common cold-rolled products, such as automotive sheet metal, household appliance shell, mechanical parts and so on.

The chemical composition and mechanical properties of SPCC steel are usually specified in accordance with the Japanese industrial standard JIS G3141. Its chemical composition includes carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si) and phosphorus (P) and other elements, its main characteristics are low carbon content, good cold working performance and weldability.

The main manufacturing process of SPCC steel is cold rolling, which can make the surface of the steel plate more smooth, improve its surface quality and dimensional accuracy. In addition, SPCC steel can be heat treated as needed to improve its mechanical properties.
