World Steel Association: Steel demand is expected to recover by 1% in 2023

World Steel Association: According to the official website of the World Steel Association (WSA), the association released the latest short-term (2022-2023) steel demand forecast report on April 19, local time, the global steel demand will decline 2.3% in 2022 to 1.7967 billion tons after the growth of 2.8% in 2021; In 2023, steel demand will recover by 1.0 percent to 1,814.7 million tons. The current forecasts are a downward revision from those made in April, reflecting the impact of persistently high inflation and interest rates around the world.
